Who says the kid won't be better. The father was more than a few bricks short of a load. He could certainly be worse, yes. Either way it's usually the militaries that run these countries as much as the dictators.

Impossible to say either way. No doubt there are factions waiting to seize power. But at the same time they've been grooming the kid for a long time, and I'm sure he has a lot of support from the old guard as well.

I believe his son was educated at some private school in Switzerland or something. Doesn't mean we can work with him but maybe he at least has some more outside influences at work for him?

Then again his father loved western movies.

True enough, and I'm quite sure they realize the value of running a 'face' on the government, even if that guy doesn't actually do jack squad but wave from a window or balcony every once in a while.

Yeah this as well. He certainly wouldn't be the first puppet dictator that's a face for the military.
