Here's the last paragraph, basically summing it up:

Killzone 2 was almost everything we?d hoped for, and miles ahead of what we secretly feared - not bad, for a relatively tame third level. The primary emotion, relief, was soon replaced with a tingling delight that Sony had lived up to the standards of that E3 2005 trailer. In 30 minutes, Sony transformed the perception of PS3 from an overpriced extravagance populated by me-too Xbox 360 ports, to the most exciting, important console in the world. It doesn?t have any gimmicks - time travel, performance-enhancing drugs, or gravity guns. Its ?novelty? is good looks, intensity, and how it single-handedly shames absolutely almost everything rival consoles had to offer. That said, it?s the second time a Killzone 2 trailer has ruined E3 - this time for making almost every other game look so terrifyingly ordinary.

I'm pretty excited about this game. Hopefully the rest of the game can be this awesome...?

i'm sorry but I just cannot get excited for a sequel to a b-rated game, no matter how good it looks.

gameplay > graphics.

There was a major bug in Killzone, at least for me, where you'd defend a beach and then nothing would happen. The game would fail to queue up the next event which would allow you to progress to the next area. It was so frustrating and took me so long to get it to work by playing that part over and over that, by the time I did get passed it, I don't think I played the game for too much longer.

Very true, but I think the demonstration they showed seemed to be great in both aspects.

Killzone: Liberation was much more "stable" than KZ1. I wouldn't doubt that they're taking extra care for KZ2. They're also fully aware of the negative reviews and comments that have gone towards each game (but mostly the first). I'd imagine, based on a guess and seeing the E3 demo, that KZ2 should be a very solid game.

This is the main game I'm excited about on the PS3, honestly the trailer looks like a awesome futuristic version of the omaha beach from Medal of Honor Allied Assault. Unfortunatly, I can't justify buying a system just for one game. A couple of more great titles like this might make it worth it for me to buy.

I'm sure it will be a fine game. That said, what hack wrote this crap?

My console is more IMPORTANT than yours!

EDIT: Forgive me, I just noticed that PSM3 = Playstation 3 Magazine.

think of the first game as one of their couple attempts at making something good, and now they can.

why can't you genuinely believe that a great game can come out of a studio that a not-so-great game came out of, even if it was in the same game series. They set up a great world, and a great story existed in the first and really provided opportunity for an even better game this time around, in every way possible.

oh, and look to Oni and then everyone's beloved Halo as for the power of time on a studio. Bungie made Oni, then made Halo.
granted, I still think the Halo games are completely overrated and don't offer much to get excited about, but some people don't play good shooters and think Halo is the golden standard.

i for one am really excited for this game, as it has enormous potential to become the shining example of a shooter on the PS3.
