Killzone 2 Review up at IGN

Looks incredible. I'm disappointed to hear that single-player is only 8-10 hours long (mentioned in the video review).

Why? People buy FPS games for the MP, not the SP mode anyway.

8-10 hours? thats perfect for me. thats about the attention span before i get bored.

Because I'd like something that will take longer than a couple days to finish.

That's great and all, but I'm not one of those people. The multiplayer sounds interesting, though, so maybe I'll be able to get into it. Still, I'm generally not much of a multiplayer person, especially when none of my friends have a PS3 and won't be getting this game.
 
Pretty good score. Sounds like it'll be an excellent game. Kind of a weird time to release it, but them's the breaks.

exactly, me too. Theres only so much i can tolerate now. GTAIV was a knife in my stomach 23 hours later
 
Take it from me...the multiplayer is TONS of fun. I was in the beta and loved it. I even had some guys down the hall play it, and they also loved it (without having played the first).

The reviews will best describe how it works and what you can do in MP, but I'd like to add that it feels like a mix between TF2, CoD4, and Killzone.

I rarely play FPS games online.
 
Ugg this is why they release short games and charge $60 for them because people cannot tolerate more. It pisses me off. I just wait until they drop in price a lot cus there are hardly any games worth the entry price now-a-days. I want to get my $$$ worth.

Not everybody wants to play a 30-hour game. If you want your money's worth, play a lot of multiplayer or save yourself $60 (and us some headache) and don't buy the game.

Unfortunately this game doesn't have release date delivery, so you'll have to wait until the following week (since it releases on a Friday) to get the game.
 
I don't care if you are the biggest sony hater in the world, but to say that Killzone 2's graphics are not the best out there on any current console is just lying to yourself (not stating someone in this thread has said that but just stating that fact because I've seen it tons of places).

Also, can you all list these long FPS games you guys are playing that are over 10 hours of gameplay single player? I can't think of more than 1 or 2 FPS I've ever played that had over a 10 hour single player. The only one I've played personally is Resistance 2, and it may not have even been more than 10 hours but it felt like it to me. I hear Bioshock is longer than 10 hours but I never finished it.

Having played the beta, I do have to agree that it's probably the best looking game out there on consoles. However, I would also mention that the textures aren't always the best, the character models can lack detail, etc. You could nitpick on those things, but the thing is...it all goes together SO well that you barely notice or care.
 
Sounds like a good game, but there's no shortage of good first person shooters on the 360 so I don't feel a nagging need to play it.
