Review is up at gametrailers.com in HD. Watching it now.

EDIT: Purbeast, they mention control configuration at the 6:25 mark in this review, and show a quick screen.

I'm at work--can anyone summarize? Score?

Here are a few of the points I can remember:
- The graphics are amazing and any complaints would just be nitpicking.
- The dark colors and environments in the game make it hard to notice all of the details, but they are there.
- Multiplayer has plenty of options and depth to keep you busy for a long time.
- The game tells you how to solve some of the 'puzzles' (like killing bosses) almost immediately, rather than letting you try to figure it out for a bit.

I think they may have also commented on the dialogue being weak overall (but decent enough) with an unnecessarily excessive use of four-letter words.

9.2 overall (which of course has the GT fanboys in a frantic rage, but it's hard for anything not to).

Yea it's true. The gratuitous use of cussing is a tad annoying and could have been left out. Also, some of the boss fights were a little to esay if you ask me. One in particular was surprisingly easy.

Warcrow, can you combine separate classes in MP? Like Scout & Medic, etc.? You select a primary badge and then your secondary badge and I guess that limits your weapon selection? I'm not finding a lot of info about how it actually works.

I wish I could answer your question difinitively. From what I understand, yes you can create hybrid classes through gathering experience in MP. I dont know exactly how it works.

Sony has planned another MP session so I'll try to dig while in there.

I found some information line. When you select your base class, you always have that primary - from that point you can select a secondary from any other class. Scout + Medic seems powerful, it gives you the ability to throw down health packs. Wonder if the scout might have as silenced SMG? I know they get an option for a sniper rifle.

Here's some info: http://playstation.joystiq.com...classes-of-killzone-2/

Rifleman:
The default multiplayer character is assigned when no primary badge is selected. A secondary badge may still be added. Riflemen can start with most weapons, except for the specialized ones.

Engineer:
Primary badge ability: Sets up an automated turret which targets the enemy.
Secondary badge ability: Repairs ammunition dispensers, mounted guns, and automated turrets.

Medic:
Primary badge ability: Revives downed team mates.
Secondary badge ability: Throws a health pack, which can be picked up by other players.

Scout:
Primary badge ability: Uses a cloaking suit to become near-invisible.
Secondary badge ability: Tags all on-screen enemy players with a hidden marker, which broadcasts their coordinates to team mates.

Assault:
Primary badge ability: Dons heavy armour twice as strong as normal.
Secondary badge ability: Temporarily boosts running speed.

Tactician:
Primary badge ability: Throws a coloured smoke grenade, which serves as a spawn point.
Secondary badge ability: Requests air support from a sentry bot which targets the enemy.

Saboteur:
Primary badge ability: Assumes the disguise of a randomly selected enemy player.
Secondary badge ability: Throws a sticky, proximity-activated C-4 charge.

Well as far as swearing, that doesn't bother me at all. In some of the videos I've seen it sounds a little forced, but that can happen with actors that aren't all that great, especially when doing voice overs and not acting in the situation.

But, in terms of warfare, well... from what I can tell the audio might even be greatly mild compared to what real soldiers would spit out of their mouth. Hell, even in classroom settings, swearing finds its place. And with trying to replicate the authenticity of violence, I find it appropriate to not use clean language. When making a video game, well... it's not going to please everyone, especially if it sounds far too forced rather than natural.

How are the graphics compared to MGS4 or Uncharted (what I believe to be the two best looking current generation console games)?

I don't see what you don't understand about people saying things like, "This is the best looking console game so far."

:p

I talk like a sailor in real life--cursing doesnt bother me either and I hear what you're saying, but again it feel gratuitous and completely forced here. Did you play Saints Row 1? Kinda like that but not as often.

Both games are amazing looking and I really enjoyed playing through both of those games too. Really it's a dificult comparison to make because its totally subjective, but in the end I think (technically speaking) Killzone 2 is second to none on any console.

You really have to see it for yourself and in person in HD (720P) to appreciate it.

There is a desert level that I just found breathtaking when I first starting playing it. The dust whipping by, swirling about, tattered fragments of cloth flapping in the wind, the whistling of the dry winds blowing through you--everything comes together, all the underlying systems in this game, to make you go..."wow". And it's totally not in your face--it's a subtle beauty I guess. All this with a rock solid frame rate.

Seriously, I cannot wait to hear you guys chime in after seeing this level.

I will be getting this, but I still want to drop someone@Sony on their head, for not stressing as basically mandatory, that these kind of games include campaign co-op. They could at least make it online co-op, playing the campaign with friends is most of the fun IMO.

The absence of coop is a bit of a bummer, but I bet it's a technical hurdle.
