If it's over carpet, you can leave it til the next time you vacuum. It might crunch under foot on hard surfaces.

What could be interesting outside would be a giant spider feeder, basically a couple of full size UV fluorescent tubes with a habitat around them suitable for some varieties of night time feeding spiders.

Funny how some are concerned with salt in the house, but not the dead flies.

I usually catch them by hand and either throw them toward the floor to fill them or release them outside. I don't like flies, but they tend to come in through our garage door.
