I bought the one above, it came to $23 with free shipping. Comes with car kit, charger, adapter, 4AA and 4 AAA. :)

Wow. That is what I am looking for. How long does it take to charge the batteries using that charger?

should be 2 hours

I'll report back when i get it.

btw free shipping was a surprise to me... no code or anything, just added the item and it appeared as an option.

I just received my order from MCM electronics. Ordered 50 AA 1800s and 10 AAA 700s (I think) . Total came to $53 with free shipping. HIGHLY recommended. These are top quality cells. Free shipping is great too. I paid much less then $1 a cell. Unheard of ...

do not like MCM's batteries. MCM only provide 7 day warranty. unsecure order sysytem, and over charged my shipping. BYD is my favorite

Can anybody explain why non-rechargeable AA's are 1.5v but all the NiMH AA's that I've seen are only 1.2v?

I'm guessing that in single and double battery configurations it's not a huge deal, but it seems that those .3's would start adding up at some point.

I just received my purchase for their: V-1HU Computer Controlled Superfast Charger with 18 Various NiMH Cells
The C size cells I received are flat top, not button top. Anyone else order this combo and actually get button top?
I have sent them an email asking for assistance, I'll post the results.

If you want good batteries that last, in more ways than one, go to www.thomasdistributing.com and check out the powerex batteries and the maha c204f charger. I think its worth the extra money to get a battery that is as superior to regular alkalines as these are, believe me.

Update on my issue,
I received email back stating they will send me the correct cells today and provide a UPS call tag so I can send bck the wrong ones.
Will update after I get the correct C cells.

Hope this helps with the type of customer service they provide.
Very consistant with everyone else posted.

I am upset. First they sent me confirmation email. Then they sent me shipping email a few days later. Now they just sent me another email saying it's out of stock!!!

How can they ship something out, then a few days later, realize that they didn't have the item in stock???!?!?!

:disgust:

I emailed them this morning and they have yet to email me back.

Does anyone know if these can be used in series for cordless phones? Is there any difference in the type of chargers or simply as long as they are NmHi chargers.

I don't know why, but all rechargeable replacements for 1.5 v alkalines are rated at 1.2, whether they are NiCd or NiMH. I've always found that they work fine. Speaking for NiCDs (and I think the NiMH are similar), the discharge voltage is very flat across the spectrum from fully charged to almost completely discharged except for a rather brief point at full charge where it's around 1.4 v. NiCDs have always worked fine for me in flashlights, remotes, walkmen. They are advantageous in comparison to alkalines in that they can access the stored power at even high rates of discharge. This is especially good in toys and other high current situations. NiCDs can successfully reach very high current rates. In fact, you should be careful in that you could start a fire if they short accidentally.

What do you expect during the holiday season, it would have been the same with FedEx

actually, non-rechargeable AA's will drop to 1.2V quickly upon you start to use it. 1.2V is AA's standard working votage

I can't believe this. They have not replied to my email after a few days... I read that they are supposed to have good customer service.... So what's up with this? I asked them why did they send me a shipping confirmation email, then send me a not in stock email a couple of days later, and they didn't even reply to me! :( :|
