True, but I just hate cable. I use to have a Sandisk 1G silver mp3 I like it alot but it needs cable to transfer data so I sell it to my brother and get this one. Can't wait till it arrives. Also there are different battery station that you can switch for different look ;)

Tax in Ca for total price of $164. Still good deal, but for $30 less the Sandisk will probably get my money.
thanks OP!

Are any of the headphones creative has for sale any good? I am looking for some good phones to use with my computer, not for the mp3 player.

I was almost set on the Ipod shuffle, since it was the cheapest and the smallest. But for this price I may have to just deal with the extra size, I am sure the extra features will help me get over it.

...Hold on a second. How is this a great deal? The 1Gb ipod shuffle is only $149 ($139 with student discount) so it's cheaper than this player. One would also think it's better being an ipod and all, meshing with iTunes and doubling as a flash drive...What am I missing?

The Shuffle is kind of hard to get your hands on atm though... pretty much OOS/backordered everywhere, or least at every place I can use a coupon :p

Plus like I said, it does have some advantages and some disadvantages.

Pros:
One of the smallest players available, if not the smallest.
Price, as you said, its still cheaper then this.
Integrates well with itunes
Its an Ipod

Cons:
It only uses itunes, some people don't like itunes, I just started using it I like it so far.
No screen, this is the big no no for most people, I would like a screen, but feel I could do without one.
No FM tuner
No voice recording
Does it have line in recording, I don't recall?
And as jman19 mentioned, good luck finding one, especially the 1GB version any time soon.

I originally wanted something small, that also could be used as a flash drive without an extra cable, had FM and voice recording. I later realized FM probablly isn't that important, I mean what can I hear on the radio that I can't listen to in MP3, oh yeah comercials, can't get those in MP3, LOL, no big loss there. The voice recording would have been neat, but not a must. Again the screen is where most people are gonna be turned off by the shuffle, since it doesn't have one. I am still torn between the 2, but with this deal, I will likely get it.

Anybody that actuallys owns one of these, is it noticeable in your pocket? I ask for a couple reasons. I don't really want to feel it very much while its in my pocket. Plus I may need to sneak it into work, so the smaller the better. And finally I work at the infamous UPS, and I am sure you have all witnessed the wrath of what can heppen there. No I am not the one crushing your packages, but it is a rough place to work, so I want something small, but also strong so it won't break easy.

Everything I ever wanted in a super compact MP3 Player ;):);)

Anyone know where can I find a few of these Text?

Currently they are out of stock! It would be nice if I can get the silver/black. Not sure if the blue that used in the 512MB is compatible with the 1G (I don't see why not!).
