killa season CD and Movie Review

WHo here has seen the DVD or heard the CD?

Thoughts and impressions?

Mine:

CD - Very reminiscent of the last album, Purple haze. Seemed more like a showcase of his team than a cd of himself. The production was tight but the beats dont hit me like purple haze. But I've only listened to it twice perhaps it will grow on me. However killa can rhyme over anything and his lyrics and word play can save it. initial impression: 3.5 out of 5

DVD - I went in expecting very little from it as it was directed, written and produced by killa but I was genuinely surprised. It was entertaining for sure. The storyline suffered because of some scenese that didnt fit in too well and the plot was weak because it really was based somewhat on reality but the ending didnt wrap things up. If you go into this expecting a hollywood big budget quality film then you will clearly not appreciate it....if you go into it expecting a low budget street flick then you will be pleasantly surprised. On the street flick scale I give this 4 out of 5

what's the dvd about???

the first scene starts off with killa cam and his crew and some dudes shooting dice and gambling. Cam is taking bets from everyone boasting about how everyone is about to lose all their money. The final dude he takes a bet from says I'm in for 50. He rolls the dice and sure enough comes up a winner. He goes around collecting the cash from everyone. He gets to the last guy he gives him a 20. Cam says you said 50. The Guy argues and says no way I said twnety and proceeds to try and embarass him by raising his voice and shouting " you heard what I said N-word" over and over. Cam non chalantly retires the dice saying he is out of the game. He slips behind the group and picks up an empty liquor bottle( syzzurp, he has a company tha treally sells this stuff in urban areas) He proceeds to smash the bottle over the guys head who had lied about his bet and tried to tool him in front of everyone. He proceeds to stomp him out on the ground telling him he must be stupid trying to play him like that. Then he proceeds to take a piss on this guy in front of everyone....the whole time saying no homo to imply that him pulling his tool out in front of other dudes wasnt an act of gayness. From there the movie jumps head first into the life of a hustla growing up on the streets of harlem. You can imagine lots of cash, cars, drugs, and murder ensue.
