(I got nothing. It sounded funny in my head.)

There are a few 'reality' shows that I like more than others (ones that aren't sensationalistic, such as "The Amazing Race").

The scary part of an all-reality show channel is that it would be made up of shows that the networks rejected. In other words, truly terrible shows.

Who wants to marry a bum?

Reality TV has always sucked. They've taken a template, and created way too many stupid shows off of it. Only thing more predictable than reality tv is another season of Friends.

I like reality TV ala Discovery Channel/TLC but the voyeur / romance stuff has got to go. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it's going to happen.

Those don't seem to scare women off. I have the worst farmer's tan in the world thanks to cycling and someone married my sorry butt. ;)

How sad is it that this might actually fly?

"Reality" TV is garbage and I think it's a sad commentary on modern society that it's so popular. :|

/steps down off soap box

And what's the commentary?
People are easily-amused morons who will always chose raw entertainment over new knowledge and enjoy watching others fail or placed in uncomfortable situations.

In short: reality TV is crap, yet people like it anyway. That's sad.

Hmm and such things as watching sports, staged entertainment, talk show, cartoons, and porn are any better?

What's so sad about it? It's voyeuristic curiosity... it's no different than reading somebody's diary, or blog, or watching people caught on camera's like America's Funniest Video or World's Fastest Car chases.

You had to have seen this one coming though...this channel will be the biggest gold mine of cable tv history. 95% of all women in the US will HAVE TO HAVE this channel. Throw on a good chunck of men who watch and you've got an enormous audience. To the people who like reality tv, it will never get old. Heck...the channel could probably consist of American Idol and Survivor alone and that would be enough to rake in the cash. Pair this channel with Trading Spaces and Baby/Wedding/Dating Story on TLC and almost every woman in America will be held captive 24 hours a day?!?!

As this thread's title most aptly states..."Kill me now." :D

Reality tv shows aren't all bad. It depends on what's behind it... the concept... the "game". What do you mean when you say reality show? Are you including all the hidden camera shows? Those are reality shows because they don't have actors nor scripts. If you're sick of the romance and drama stuff on tv, then say so, but not all reality tv shows are what you're thinking.

Every reality show I've seen is overhyped and overacted. If my reality consisted of wannabe actors going histrionic 24/7 I'd kill myself.
