Goliath Encounter: Puppy-Sized Spider Surprises Scientist in Rainforest

theraphosa4.jpg1413584886

I am sorry but describing a spider as "puppy size" is not something that should even happen. 😱

Sure it's not deadly but just imagine the mess it would make if you had to squish it. D:

Is "surprise" a euphemism for "I screamed and ran like a little girl"? I'm pretty sure that's how it would "surprise" me :^D

We have a surplus of nuclear weapons - and a surplus of puppy-sized monsters.

I think we can successfully argue for one action to solve two problems, can we not?

I'm also pretty sure that most of those "Men then" would have made some fascinating shrieking noises if they found a large birdeater spider sharing their bed.

Got bit by a black widow summer before last, cant imagine that SOB biting into you. Fangs like a rattlesnake, if it has any...

Damn, a lot of .45ACP would be headed in the direction of that thing.
Some general advice: Once the insects and arachnids in your area require the use of guns for dispatching them, it's time to move farther north.😉

We don't have Soldiers and other members of the Armed Forces these days?

I must have slept through something wicked. Damn. Pray tell, what else has changed?!
You didn't hear about the new military uniforms?
You've got some elite infiltration units there trying to blend in with the local culture. The photo at the top was taken just 8 seconds before the successful assassination of the dignitary wearing gray.
Another man is leading a charge of his unit, and is so fearlessly badass that he doesn't need a helmet or body armor.
The man wearing green is recording a message for his wife and daughter from a palace in Iraq. The patterned fabric around his neck was the keffiyeh of one of the people killed when the building was taken.

Also...the photos on the left were taken with monochrome cameras. Some of those military units would have pushed the modern-day definition of "fabulous."
😛

I used to have a T. blondi in my collection although it wasn't quite as large as the one pictured. I sold it because of the urticulating hair issue. (the hair it flicked off its abdomen)

Aside from that however it was fairly mellow and nowhere near the scariest spider I had in my collection. That honor went to the much smaller but also much faster and more aggressive Usambara Baboon spider.

My Vietnamese Centipedes however put all the spiders to shame when it came to inspiring true fear!

Bah, it looks like lunch for us South East Asian people. Just quarter that thing up, flour lightly, a little salt & black pepper, then deep fry.

Ahhh damn motherfuckers!!! 😱😱😱😱😱

Retreat retreat!! Let's get the fuck off this planet and nuke it from orbit!!!!!!
