She was in a coma for FOUR YEARS yet it takes her like 5 minutes for her to regain perfect control and strength :p The reason it's annoying is because this is supposed to be based in current times with people who don't have super powers or some crap ;) OTHER than that, it's not too bad ;)

You people are dumb.
IT IS A COMIC BOOK, IT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE REALISTIC.

Come on people, it's NOT a documentary.

lol, you are quick to judge, apparently if you don't know something you are stupid

I just find stuff like that annoying...it's BRUTALLY unrealistic, I just find it boring, it's the kind of movie I would watch like maybe twice, because it just becomes repetitive and boring compared to other more realistic plot driven movies... stuff like this doesn't stand up to the test of time.

I'm sorry, but yes, I think you are dumb if you expect a comic-book/anime style tribute to corny 70's kung-fu movies to be realistic.

It is like a piece of art. Some people like it, some don't. It is what it is meant to be.

There is nothing wrong with you not liking it, but it is dumb to criticize it for not being what it was never trying to be.
That would be like me saying how stupid American Pie was because it didn't have any lightsaber battle scenes.

Okay, lets go back to several months ago when we had the same conversation. The movie is obviously meant to be unrealistic, and is considered to be a "Live action anime" while also being Quentin Tarantino's homage to many other classic movies. Holy sh|t, we don't want to hear you hated the movie 6 months after the fact. If you don't like Volume 2, fine, post about it in one of the 30 other threads that will pop up on Friday; I for one will be posting in praise of the movie.

Wow you know you like movies before you even see them... your opinion is obviously worth considering :p
Yup it is. I truly enjoyed watching the first one, and know I won't be disappointed by the second one based on what I have read, and already knew.

No, but he's seen all their movies a million times and emulated them at least that amount, too...

I don't know, I think it's also the ridiculousness of his plots and events, but there's just something about this movie that I didn't like. I guess it also had to do with the blood-spurting and such..."But, but, he's paying homage to <insert random directors' names here>..." I don't care. It's still stupid.

Ahahaha... yeah, how could anyone watch that spurting BULLSHIT and respect this movie. I remember one specfically retarded part. She cut's this girls are off, and she's spurting blood through her artery like a garden hose for ATLEAST 10 minutes, and SOMEHOW her artery clots, lmfao and she lives.... man it's amazing anyone dies in real life :p

Well yeah, since we all know that sequels are usually quite good, lol :p They always stand up to the quality of the first movie :D

Well, technically it is not a sequel. The movie was originally one long movie, but miramax decided to cut it in half, and milk the movie for all the money it is worth, so yes, I do think that it will stand up, if not surpass the original.

You mean a movie with no plot based solely on the idea of wowing the audience with the maximum amount of deplorable violence legally possible to show?

And that's different from most other movies how? Less violence? It's a fvcking movie. You don't appreciate Tarantino's work, that's your loss.

And me wasting my time watching Orsen Wells films like The Third Man and Citizen Kane... or actual actors like Humphrey Bogart... you are right... I'm really missing out ;)

And I'm not just singling out this inadequate waste of film, so many movies these days rely on violence and sex with no plot and no acting. I'm just getting sick of it. (there are some good ones, I don't pretend that no one is making stuff worth watching)

considering how funny the rest of the movie was, it fit right in:p its just amazing anyone watching more then 5 minutes of the movie could expect total realism when its obviously ultra stylized.

Total realism? The only thing realistic about it is the actors DO seem to have to breathe air....

Now another problem I have is that people seem to be against violence in real life, however you can't help noticing how people crave to watch it anyways (I am sometimes too guilty of this, but the instances of this are definately decreasing) ... don't you guys find this a little bit disturbing? It's like oh no, torturing and killing is wrong, but then you will pay to go watch it enacted. This is another reason I dislike this movie even more than these other garbage films :p It glorifies all this crap, along with all the stupid macho violence for the sake of violence movies. Atleast in movies with some SHRED of plot or with a meaning of message, you can say that it adds to the emotional effect of the movie or completes the effect. This is just like a violence version of pornography :p

Why do people have to resort to personal insult in this sorta stuff? :p He said TOTAL REALISM. FFS OBVIOUSLY almost EVERY movie created isn't 100% realistic. My complaint is that this movie isn't anywhere CLOSE to realistic, it is almost like it's filmed on some other planet :p
