Rented Vol. 1 becuase of all the hype, couldn't finish it. Boring, full of artsy crap, What a letdown, I will definitely not see VOl. 2.. He's got some balls writing "The 4th movie by Quentin Tarantino" on it. As far as I'm concerned, he did two good movies. Pulp Fiction and Resevoir Dogs.

but it is his 4rth film...
so...
why would he not call it that.
How many directors put that in the beginning of the the movie? Retarded.

I went to see the first one, thinking it looked pretty good by the trailer. I actually didn't even know it was by him until I saw that. As soon as I did....I knew I was in for a piece of sh!t, and let me tell you he did not disappoint.

they usually throw their names at front, if thats what you mean.

im not a big fan of his. i just dont really understand why that moment seems so arrogant.

He obviously considers himself larger than life. It's one thing to put on there "Directed by Quentin Tarantino" it's an entirely different thing to number his movies as if someone gave a shite how many steaming heaps of crap he's directed in the past. It's got nothing to do with the movie at hand.

I like it, I thought it was funny... it is not meant to be serious. it is over the top.

Don't understand why he had to show Uma's UGLY feet for 5 minutes. Argh! Let's bring back foot binding for someone like her. 😉

I've seen a fair amount of anime, samurai, Hong Kong kung fu and Chinese sword & sorcery ( the old Shaw Brothers) and I enjoyed it for what it was: an over the top homage, just like Big Trouble in Little China.

If you're not familiar with at least some of the source material, you're much less likely to enjoy it. Imagine watching Back to the Future 3 without knowing who Clint Eastwood is, a big chunk of the movie becomes instantly less funny.

Funny that you mentioned Big Trouble in Little China, another one of my favorite film because it's over the top like. Do you have the special DVD editon? That music video sucked so bad it's funny.

And least they were clean and the skin was at least smooth... Would you rather have the feet of a smelly old Indian lady that walked around barefoot all the time? On dirt roads splattered, with chicken poop, no less?

the resounding theme from the people who don't like it is:

"i don't understand it."

either watch some of the classic cinema that the movie is an homage to or shutup and rent something more along your lines. like the first season of "friends" on dvd.

Where did you hear that?

What about the people who just dislike it. Sometimes it isnt about understanding the plot/story, but liking the movie.

I love Pulp Fiction, I don't care for Kill Bill. Is that because i didn't understand Kill Bill? I think not.
