I bought KB2 today. Got to have the complete series, you know. :) I thought Vol 1 kicked ass. Literally and figuratively. Cool story, great fights, etc.

So, I just got done with Vol 2; I thought it was disappointing. The coolest thing about it was the Chinese Kung Fu Master with the white hair/beard/huge ass eyebrows. He was the "stereotype dude" from ALL the budget Kung Fu flicks. :D

The fights were WEAK. The fight scene in the trailer was cool...but only b/c they were fighting in a trailer.

Other than that...it was a waste of $20. But, at least I own both now.

What did you think of Vol 2?

kb2 rocks my socks. i enjoyed it more the 2nd time I watched it. i personally like it better than part 1. comparing part 1 to part 2 though is like comparing apples to oranges. they aren't supposed to be the same ... just like w/the matrix series.

Hmm. I have not thought of it that way....I guess part 2 w/her daughter and all that changes things....hmm. I guess I was looking for another slug-fest.

I will watch it again this weekend. Maybe I'll think higher of it then. Probably not...but I'll give it another shot.

I thought Vol. 1 had more action in it. However, it was good to see Vol. 2, so one could get a better idea of how things turned out.

I think you need to think of it as one movie. This is how it was intended to be. In no way were they to be compared to one another. Watch them one after another and don't try to compare. It will all make sense then Michael-son.

I enjoyed it, but I'd been warned that it wasn't non-stop action like part 1.

I thought the entire final act with Bill was well-written and well-acted, and though the final "battle" wasn't what I was expecting after part 1, it was cool in its own way -- and nicely foreshadowed by the earlier scenes with the master, the grave, and the ending of the trailer fight.

I grew up watching Chinese sword & sorcery (before kung fu took over), Japanese samurai, and Italian westerms, so I was definitely part of the target audience for both parts :)

I agree that it was nice to find out exactly how and why she ran away and why he did what he did. :) I would've liked to see his heart explode though.

You're on crack, Michael. Volume 2 was far better than 1, even though it didn't have as much action. Gratuitous, senseless arm and head hacking just doesn't do it for me.

That gentled you down some. Hilarious!

Volume 2 was a better movie, but I was really really dissapointed by the final fight scene. Both movies were leading up to this great finale and it ended in less than 15 seconds.

I thought that kill bill 2 was better than the first one, however I thought they were both awesome. ( i watched kb2 RIGHT after kb1) I might even go out and actually buy both of them.

1 was completely worhtless IMO, i was extremely disappointed because i had been looking forward to the movie, 2 was ok, better dialogue and a LOT more Tarantino's style.

I wouldn't watch kb1 if i got paid less than 50$ to do it and if i was i would get myself plastered and laugh at the stupid crap that was in it.

it was metaphorical. Since beatrice was his girl and broke his heart in many ways.

liked it more than volume 1.

and ill even admit it, when i saw it in the theatres, the whole pushing the coffin into the grave scene made me a tad bit uncomfortable. im not even a claustrophobic, but q.t. did a good job making people feel uneasy during that scene.

I saw KB2 for the first time just last night and as good as it was throughout, I was left disappointed when the climactic battle scene was all of 3 seconds long...

Prolly get bashed for this but who cares......both of them amounted to Quinton's worst movie to date. Don't get me wrong, he's an ausm writer/director, but how can you compare Kill Bill to movies like Resevoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction?
