Dawned on me that my 14 year old never had saw the matrix trilogy. So we watched it.

Asked him what he thought. . .

"Kinda stupid", he said. "The human body is so inefficient, it would result in a net energy loss for the robots - why don't they just use fusion or solar power?"


Sigh.

They do use fusion and the human "scorched the sky"

I agree with the kid. An otherwise decent movie had such a pathetic premise. They could have spent another 30 seconds editing the script and said something like "feed on human brain waves" and the movie would have had a much more solid foundation.

Shizzle. The plot holes are huge.
And if you really think about it the story wasnt totally original. It was pieced together from Tron, The Terminator and a few others.
