Asshole is what the loser calls the guy that banged the prom queen they wanted and somehow had to realize that when they were making out together at a party in front of that said loser.

Those that are successful tend to called assholes because how dare they do better with their lives.

lol....asshole is what people call assholes.

School is not a right, it's a privilege like driving is.
Not really, not in practice. People have to pay taxes, which support schools, and kids have to get educations, so intimating that students are at the behest and grace of school administrators is silly.

BTW, yes airsoft is a toy. Of course it is, just like a paint gun. Neither are weapons, even though they can be made into them (like anything else).

Whoever is pushing for this at the school board is a total fucking prick.

Yes in that case it is getting the school involved. But that wasn't the case with what happened here.

I agree.

However; the big gorilla in the room is the fact that there were no adults present to state really what did happen.

All in all the story is fucked up. They aren't expelled, never were. There is talk of a longer suspension come January (which I bet is based on whether or not they shape up).

Most federal taxes never go to school. It's your sales tax and more importantly real estate taxes. Which also are what cover local roads, like one's driver's license allows you to drive on. Federal money for roads is very limited and covers usually highways only.

They are very dangerous toys. You can easily lose an eye / hearing or more with either.

They kids should not have been allowed to play with them without adult supervision. These are 7th grade kids, all of 14 years old at most under normal situations.

However; if they were indeed only playing at their home and that home was not within range of laws prohibiting such 'toys' then the school should be hand's off.

If they were at their home and firing at the bus stop, then they asked for the penalty.

Well, according to the school some of the kids were hit within 10' of the bus stop and that he was taking aim at people who were at the bus stop

Also relevant:

This is not Kahlid Caraballo's first disciplinary infraction. He has been disciplined six times in less than 18 months for increasingly aggressive behavior including harassment, bullying and fighting that has resulted in injuries

I call people assholes because they are assholes. I wasn't a 'nerd' in school. I had a lot of friends in most of the clics. I played in a few bands, did a lot of bad things, drank a lot, and hustled a lot of pool. I was in sports and I had my share of good looking girlfriends. I was also pulling in 30K a year at 16 (thank you .com bubble!). This kid was a football player who spent his nights getting drunk and picking on people smaller than him. He knew better than to directly pick on me, but he did pick on a lot of my less popular friends. I was a bit of a hot head and a idealist. So I knocked the hell out of him.

Picking a fight is all about tactics and strategy. I had all the advantage so size was no longer an issue. Never really lost a fight in high school anyway....

The fact still remains that his actions made him an asshole. Assholes belittle people because they are different. Assholes beat up on people who can't stand up to them. Assholes knock books out of peoples hands as they walk to class. Assholes go out of their way to embarrass people in front of crowds.

I should know. I was an asshole. When I look back on my life as a teen/young adult I frequently ask myself if I had friends, of if people were just humoring me because they were afraid of my asshole attitude.

There was that story out of London Ontario a couple years ago where this little girl got the cops called on her dad because she drew a picture of him shooting monsters. Which I bring up because the teacher's and school admin referred to themselves as "co-parents".

There's been a few stories like this recently where school authorities have been attempting to extend their power beyond school grounds in an attempt to control their students. I'm not really sure what that's all about but it can't have any real positive benefit. Especially if this kid truly was on his parents' property. If they want to dominate kid's lives 24/7, just turn them all into boarding schools and be done with it. If they're in their parents' care and the child is not being abused, it's not their call.

It's definitely clear who the asshole was.

Lol at you being feared though.

So at 15/16, you had money to invest in the stock market to the tune of a $30k/year income and this jock was drinking nightly did he have dot com money too?

STFU no one fucking cares.

Oops. Looks like a lot of jumping the gun in this thread.

Now why did I have a hunch this was the case? The school's reasoning might have been bullshit but they were probably reaching for the best rule they could to try and dump this kid from their school.

But no of course its just because some anti-gun crusade. Fucking idiots. (Not you Brainonska511, its should be obvious who I'm referring to.)

The final story and why I doubted this too was the 'property' and kids being allowed to play with airsoft prior to school unattended were only 10' from the bus stop and firing at it.

Add this into the prior record and you have your parent fail answer.
