I was in the office today working on some paperwork (as usual) and one of the ladies brought her little 4 year old in for a visit of the office. She was a real joy to have around and within a few minutes it seemed like everyone had gathered around to see the little girl. Well just about this time one of our department managers came by and asked me "Have you seen Wilma anywhere?" I replied, "Yeah, she's on the third floor. Oh, and while you're up there, tell Fred I'll be right up in a few minutes." The little girl had apparently been listening in to our conversation or overheard it through all the clamor around her and her eyes went wide. "Wilma is here?? Fred too??" she shreaked gleefully. I stopped and did a double take. "Well, yes." I said. She started dancing around and shouting "Fred and Wilma are here! Fred and Wilma are here!!" Curious I asked her how she knew both of them. She stopped and staired obstinatenly at me and said, "Well everyone knows the Flintstones silly."

I thought it was rather funny. I grew up with the Flintstones and I didn't even think about that in all the time I've known both of them. 🙂 (I'm refering to the fred and wilma who work in our office)

My daughter is only a month and a half now... Can't wait to see what she starts saying.

I can imagin a little child saying a lot of things. I once watched an 8 year old boy totally curse out a 20ish lady cause she wouldn't give him candy. 🙂

same EXACT thing happened to me! ...and right before I went to visit my very strict old-school religious parents!! :/

now she says "OH" "MY" "GOSH" - each word slowly and emphatically (she just turned 3).
 
What I get a huge chuckle out of is how kids can talk about sex so candidly and talk about things that would turn most of us beat red and not bat an eyelash. 🙂
