The guy is around 20 and has a wife, I'm quite certain he knows what it is. It was a dare, and he did it.

not funny - not shocking - a lot of people have an open relationship with their families where that isn't especially out of bounds. If he is 20 that would be the only redeeming factor based on the ridiculousness of the situation.
