Cameras got cheap once Digital camera competition heated up (and dropped price as well). Now the targeted audience that once purchased snap shot cameras are heading towards digital to save money on filmn developing

not really save money on film developing, since printing digifotos nowadays is still more expensive than regular 35mm film. however, the possibility of unlimited "film" (no longer need to buy 35mm film and print EVERYTHING). we can edit fotos and only select particular ones to print. before my parents would tell me not to waste film taking pictures of nothing. now i can take pictures of nothing and with a 256MB CF card @ highest resolution on my canon s400, i can take 123 pix of nothing, transfer them to my computer and have space for another 123pix.

but a camera with zoom for only $10. i'd really suspect the quality on this machine.
