"kids are growing up too fast"

Am I the only one who thinks this is the biggest load of crap I've ever heard? Kids are more irresponsible and stupid today than they ever were.. Even if it were true, WTF is wrong with growing up faster? The faster you grow up, the more you can remember overall from your life.

Kids seem to know everything until they reach their mid 20's. then Mom/Dad start becoming smart

The way i take that is they are not really enjoying being a child. They have taken on the actions of adults (for example sex too young). They cannot enjoy being free and happy-go-lucky.
They should be able to build forts with pillows and play barbies...

I agree that it is true. I loved my childhood. You can call me niave, but i am glad i was the way i was when i was young.

I'm 19, 2 months until I'm 20, and I plan on creating a den/fort-like space in the back garden of my house at university. Currently it's quite overgrown and isolated.

i agree. kids should be kids. marketing has them dressing and acting like 20yr olds. Tv shows have kids makeing out and imply sex very strong.

wich is one of the reasons i keep tv time limited.

This is definitely true. Look up the average age of first menstration and you'll see that it has begun much earlier than it used to a couple of centuries ago.

Incorrect, the point of the op is to question the fact that adults think kids are growing up too fast when I disagree. I see nothing wrong with growing up faster than what people do now, being young sucks balls.

Tell me about it. I went to go pick up pizza today at a local place. There was a group of girls there that looked about 13-14 in the face, but like that GIF with the busting dress in the body. :shocked:
