kidna disappointed with Hyper X PC3000

i just received my 512 stick of Kingston HyperX-3000, and i gotta say i'm kinda disappointed with it. the fastest it will do it 400 mHz at 2-6-3-3 with 2.9 volts. thats not a whole hell of a lot better than my old Samsung PC2700 stick. guess i'll get corsair next time, when i have the money. anyone have any experience with this kingston stuff?

The stuff is only garanteed rated to 370MHz is'nt it? I would'nt blame Kingston for it not doing 400MHz at relaxed timmings.

i'm not necessarily blaming kingston, i'm just saying that this particular stick sucks.

yeah you must have a particularly bad stick...

there are plenty of peopel around here that are running 200 mhz @ 2-2-2-6

so..

yup...you probably got a bad stick, stick is running great at 200 2-2-2-5 2.7v. Both sticks I had could do at least 215, but motherboard limited me.

fedex is delivering 2 sticks and an xp2100 for me tomorrow. i dont want to hear that this memory sucks.

EdipisReks,

do you know what chips you have on that memory?

so far I have been able to run up to 185 fsb with 6 ( ras ) /2 ( rcd ) /2 ( rp ) /Cas2 settings and default voltage

TeamPSI, you must have PC2700, not PC3000 (PC3000 is DDR 370 or 185MHz, not 166) If your PC3000 is only running at 166Mhz, then you got ripped off...

You guys that are getting 'bad' sticks are the exception to the rule.
TONS os ppl have this ram and are able to push it easily to 200mhz
Mine runs async to 200 @ 2-2-2-6 @ 2.77 (haven't tried 2-2-2-5, but it probably works)
This runs with no parity errors after stressing.
Teampsi... if it wouldn't do 166 you shoulda sent it back... that really is defective..
If it won't do 200mhz it is odd, but its not reflective of the entire supply of sticks out there.

Keep in mind the issues with certain nForce2 boards, if that's what you're using it in (esp. for those of you who won't get it over 166).

How about HyperX-2700? How high can this one go? I'm thinking about getting one of these but it have to be able to run @ 190 FSB with timing at least 2-3-3-6.
