It looks like the kind of concrete wall they put along highways to block the sound.

It certainly didn't sound like a concrete wall when he was kicking it though. I assume the "help me" at the end was the cameraman asking someone to help him help the other guy, because it didn't sound like it came from the guy who was kicking the wall.

We do deep excavation using a similar method, with 4" x 8" timbers.

concrete weighs around 150lb/s per cubic foot. Those blocks looked like they were around 8" x 8" x 24" which would mean each weighed ~130lbs each.

But then again, they appear to be hollow...

If they're the type that are used around here, they're more like 4" thick - but the ones in the video are also about 48" long, so the weight's still probably about what legoman666 figured.

I wouldn't be surprised if he loses that foot.

Look at the width of the gap between the slabs when it comes down. Almost looks like his foot gets chopped off. At the least I'm thinking the bones got crushed into several splintered pieces.

It almost sounds like he's kicking a metal panel...maybe it's just the crappy audio, but I've never heard concrete sound like that.

I doubt he'd be able to sue...seems like negligence on his part (or stupidity - whatever you want to call it). If it fell on him while leaning on it or without doing anything that consituted vandalism or intentionally damaging he might have a case.
