WTF!? These must be the kinds of kids that torture cats and shoot up their schools...

OTOH, this had to have taken a fair ammount of creativity and planning.

Wow. Excellent. :D

They did a fine job with that.
Ideally, the fuel chamber will have no airspace in it. Oxygen + flammable liquid strapped to your back + a flame coming back through the nozzle = bad news.

Zombie apocalypse? They're ready.

Why didn't they use metal pipe instead of plastic? Wouldn't that store the pressure better?

Pfft, don't you know flamethrowers are not ideal for killing zombies besides in unrealistic video games? I mean seriously, do you WANT a flaming zombie now? It won't be dead immediately and you have to deal with it running at you.. plus the big flame that will likely attract more zombies.

Man, I swear, sometimes you guys seem so unprepared for this

The only Zombie weapon that works is a shotgun. This has been proven time and time again.

We're taking real-life zombies here. Not your video game ones.

My brother constructed a hefty pneumatic potato cannon for his physics project in high school. It's still sitting in the garage, and I could take pics of it. Think of a howitzer that shoots potatoes at mach .8 IIRC.

Chainsaws are pretty good. Especially if you sever your hand and replace it with one.

Probably because plastic holds the pressure just fine and metal pipe would probably add 50 pounds to the rig.

Get the high ground, and rain down flames from above.

More zombies come, more zombies burn.

If a zombie is naught but a pile of ash and a charred skeleton, he won't be eating any brains, or doing much else.

Actually, I wonder too about how well the pvc glue is going to hold up to that denatured alcohol?? I know it wouldn't hold up at all to petroleum products, but not sure about the alcohol.

I give him 2 hours of using that thing before it kills/maims him.

Neat toy. At least he diddn't fill it with sterno or napalm hehe.

That PVC is still pretty heavy, could have adapted an old propane tank or something - would probably be safer.

Whats wrong with the PTFE tape he used?

Dude - if you have a large level 4 zombie outbreak, you could literrally be under assault by millions of zombies! Do you have food, water, ammunition for that? Do you have enough flammable liquid? I didn't think so. Backing yourself in a fortified corner is the same as locking yourself in a jail with no key in a large zombie outbreak.

Exactly, it doesn't have the instant stopping power of something like a good shotgun, however it is perfect for cleanup and confirming 'kills'. You might down a zombie, but if you want to make sure it won't get back up just set them on fire and let them burn down.
