Probably because plastic holds the pressure just fine and metal pipe would probably add 50 pounds to the rig.

Actually, I wonder too about how well the pvc glue is going to hold up to that denatured alcohol?? I know it wouldn't hold up at all to petroleum products, but not sure about the alcohol.

Dude - if you have a large level 4 zombie outbreak, you could literrally be under assault by millions of zombies! Do you have food, water, ammunition for that? Do you have enough flammable liquid? I didn't think so. Backing yourself in a fortified corner is the same as locking yourself in a jail with no key in a large zombie outbreak.

Exactly, it doesn't have the instant stopping power of something like a good shotgun, however it is perfect for cleanup and confirming 'kills'. You might down a zombie, but if you want to make sure it won't get back up just set them on fire and let them burn down.
