I'm not taking pictures of kids wearing these

Is ear protection becoming a thing? In the spring I went to a charity even and saw a kid wearing these, I saw it again on a twins on the 4th before a parade, saw it again at a Greek Festival with a DJ and I just saw it this morning at a charity race with a DJ.
I get wanting to protect your kids, I'll also agree today's DJ was too loud but its easy to stand away from the speakers.
*I don't have kids so maybe I'm just uneducated but this seems accessive*

I don't know anything about that being a trend or not, but I wish my dad had given me some of those when he took me to the races back in the day. My hearing kinda sucks.

We take ear plugs to concerts when we expect the music will be too loud. If I had a kid I was taking to a similar event, sure, I'd have them wear hearing protection. You don't get do overs with hearing. You can't count on kids to figure out if ear plugs are inserted correctly or keep them in so having them wear cool muffs is a good idea.

If the whole medical research thing goes right, we may within a decade or two... Fingers crossed.

I have two SPL meters and have the NIOSH hearing safety chart somewhat memorized.

Protecting the ears of little ones is of paramount importance. From motorcycles and sirens to music and fireworks, everyone's ears are under assault. The question to ask is, "How long do I want to keep my hearing?"
