It's one of the reasons I didn't take a 10k a month job offer in Australia. I wasn't sure I could actually live with Australians. I've probably met and spent more time with Australians than I have any other peoples besides my own and Mexicans.

And then there's that shit ^

I work with a bunch of Australians here in the states. They transferred over here when we merged. They are actually mostly really nice "mates" and fun to hang out with. But they actually are pretty fucking racist.

When someone claimed the US was bad for having racism..and that person was from Australia...a land where racial equity laws were suspended so they could pass Aboriginee only laws.

The sooner we have school choice the better. This and a million other reasons is why we need vouchers.

Get this, Europe, you know bastion of socialism and unions, has about 80% vouchers/school choice but we still have autocratic no choice.

You think this crazy zero tolerance PC MC would ever happen if parents could pull their kids and put them in the next private school? Hell no.

Actually there is a lack of actual racism, which makes the actions of the stupid people worse.

As compared to the 70's?

Yes.

But there are always acts of racism. It flared up quite badly over the past 10 years or so against middle easterners of all races. Hell, people were even cursing out Indians!

People hate strangers. As spoofed in South Park, even if we all looked almost identical, we would find SOME difference between us and try to rank ourselves "higher" because of it.

He's talking about what happened in this case.

Learn how to read.

I never said anything about America being racist. I was laughing at the crazy P.C. gone while.

Then some dumbass starts in with Australia is racist. WTF?

And anyone pointing to The Intervention as proof that we're racist, well, we had to do something. Child abuse was running rampant in some of the aboriginal areas. If we did nothing the UN would have a go. We do something to help and they still have a go.

Try to understand the situation before calling us racist.

Concerning the topic of this thread, there is no racism present.

Ah, my bad. Misread things.

I already said as much. Is it racist? Sure, any policy aimed at a group based on their race (yes Affirmative Action, I am looking at you) is racist by its very nature.

In this case, what else could be done? Their own leaders did nothing to help...extreme measures were needed. In the US, tribal leaders recognized the problem and took action themselves. Does not fix everything, but it makes things far better.

Rock and a hard place.

This is pretty pathetic.

Other then skin tone and hairline, he looks nothing like Obama. There was a large news reporter who visited my school, the kids all said "Porky the pig is coming in to interview the class"

(Didn't really happen, but THAT would warrant a visit to the principles office)

News flash: How he acted could have had a huge affect on why he said it. In fact, if you actually read the article, three out of the four descriptors were how he acted, not how he looked.

I don't really see a problem with what he said but, there are other things to consider here. The school never commented but it would appear this kid had some issues.

The Superintendent said

Fleece’s office referred the matter to Winger, who offered that “there are two sides to every story” but declined further comment, citing student confidentiality issues. He provided the following statement:

Winger apparently revealed a bit more to a local radio news site, which quoted him as saying, “It’s not what [Grayson] said, it’s how he said it…I can tell you that there was history and that the student had been counseled and we met with the parents.”

Now the father said it had nothing to do with the kids history. But according to him, it doesn't sound like this kid did to well.

Darren first spoke to Principal Fleece, whom he says assured him that Grayson’s past misbehavior—which included stealing school supplies from a campus store with other students and minor classroom outbursts—had nothing to do with the decision to permanently kick him out of the school.

This may have been a situation where they wanted to get rid of the kid and this gave them just enough ammo.
