Kia set to launch full-size sedan

The rear end looks like a small late model Crown Vic from that pic IMO NFS4 🙂

how are their cars anyway?? I always thought they seemed kinda crappy both in build quality and also reliability...has that changed at all?

I rented a Kia Sophia once and it was a nice car. The ride was a little rough, but I liked it a lot.

their big sedan looks kinda cool too.

Wonder if it'll have the same safety rating of their minivans.

If you want proof, just take a rubber sledgehammer and give the front bumper of one a gentle but firm whack. If both airbags deploy, the front windshield shatters, and it does about CDN$5K in damage - then yeah, it's the same as the minivans. :disgust:

Actually the Sedona minivan had better safety ratings than Chrysler, Dodge, Mazda, Nissan, and GM.

Yeah I postd pics about this long time ago.

Here's a review of it:

I posted interior shots of this car a long time ago too. And the general consensus was positive. Of course the exterior styling looks whack, but hey..for that price you can't complain.

what does kia stand for? i always forget, it is either Killed In Action or Koreans In America

kia doesnt stand for anything

in korean it is pronouced more like "ghia" rather than "kia"

KIAs get a lot of flack, but as and owner of a 98' Sephia that hasn't been in the garage once for anything other than maintenance work, and has 100k on it, I have nothing but good things to say about them. I will say that at 100,000, it is in need of a clutch replacement, but even that could probably be used another year, but as a mechanic also I notice such things and repair them earlier than most people would.
