khumo tires

Are these tires any good? I see them on tire rack for $40 each....you think those reviews people post are trustworthy?

I have the 712s, they work just fine, had them for two years and still plenty of tire left. For 40 they are a great deal.

Used Kumho Ecsta MX..great tire for the price but the sidewall was a little squishy
now on Falken Azenis RT615 and couldn't be happier

2001 Altima. I just want some good cheap tires since 1) I am on a tight budget. and 2)I plan on selling my car in about 9 months.

I woudnt buy these. try and afford the Cooper tourings, they are the best deal going, but a bit pricey. It'll cost you over 300.00 for the 4 tire set, but its really worth it .

the Kumos are a decent choice for that car. It's not too heavy, not too sporty, ect.
how much more are Yokohama's? They are usually a step up in price. I had good luck with them before

Use Kumho Ecsta MX also, but have been through 2 sets in the past 2 years. Kumho are the worst tires I have ever used in terms of reliability (mostly sidewall bubbles/damage). I use pirelli primarily, and would recommend them to anyone.

I've had mine for about 2 months and I'm very pleased so far. Got the 795's and drive a 2000 Camry. Ordered mine from tirerack.com and had them installed at Walmart. Total price ~$225. Great value, imo.

I've heard the kumho's get loud. I have Pirelli PZero Nero M&S tires on my car, and plan on using them until I get dedicated snow/summer wheels/tires.

$300 is pricey? 😕 I ran the Kuhmo MXs on my previous car- it's their ultra high performance summer tire. For the money (1/2 the price of the Bridgestone S-03s), they had pretty equivilent dry grip and good wet grip, though like someone mentioned, had a bit soft sidewalls. But a great high performance tire for the price.

<--- just paid over $750 for a set of Bridgestone RE-050s for my S2000 🙁

Go to the nissanclub.com forums and post a thread there in the appropriate forums. There are plenty of 2nd gen Altima owners there that will advise you on your decision.
