I am partial to voodoo Frames, but I am not quite sure if they make a road frame or not. I would suggest looking into it.

The 'best' frame is subjective - what do you want? The lightest? The cheapest? The stiffest? The strongest? The best ride 'feel'? More info needed.

try mtbr.com

other than that, composites scare me. They're light and all, but if you don't really need the weight improvement. Maybe I just have an irrational composite phobia. :)

A light frame is all I need. I won't be doing serious mountain biking, just the little tiny trail once and a while and a lot of hard pack flat trail.

Check www.supergo.com - they have some awesome deals. I've got a Schwinn Homegrown Factory, and it's a great ride, but there's also some other great stuff there. As capn mentioned, www.mtbr.com is a great site for reviews.

I wouldn't be too afraid of composite (usually carbon) bikes. I've owned two, beat the heck out of them, and they're still running today.

KHS

It's a good price and seems like a good bike with the Shimano Deore (the gears I wanted to get) and a Rock Shock fork, think I should get it? Should I buy online though. I dought I can find cheaper here, but it will cost a fortune in shipping. I'm in canada.

unlike computers many other tech things cost more to build from parts than buying it

this includes cars, motorcycle and bikes

if cost is not a factor than get the best dual suspension, carbon fiber, XTR (it's been a few years since i rode so XTR's may not be on the top), clipless, etc

a good frame is going to cost 1-3k, less expensive is the drive train package 1k, then your wheels .5-1k, last is the rest

Actually IMO KHS is not bad. FYI, your first link leads to a completely different, Alu/CF road bike. The bike you are considering seems like a perfectly solid MTB suitable as an entry-level trail bike or decent all-arounder. Given the specs I would expect it to cost around $600, so the Supergo price is (as usual) very good. Be VERY careful with sizing if you are going to buy a bike online, though. It looks like they only have 19" and 21" bikes left, so this is probably not a good bet if you are below roughly 5'10".

I'm ~5' 8" 5' 9" so I'm guessing the 21" is good? Is this bike good for long trips and high speeds? I'm not talking about speeds like on a racing bike but 25-35KM/h? I use my bike to go to work and get around town, will this bike bring me there easier then my CCM aluminum bike? The shipping weight is only 30lbs so my guess is that bike is light, my current ccm bike is about 35lbs.

No, no, no! A 21 is about right for me, at 6'4". No offense but if you are this far off-base on sizing this will NOT be a hot deal - size is the most critical issue in finding a bike you will enjoy. Even the 19" is probably too big, unless you NEVER intend to take it off-road.

My best bet would be to go to a local sports store and try out there 19" bikes and see.

I'm 5'9" and I've always ridden mtbs in the 18-19" range, even off-road quite a bit. It depends on how the frame is measured. Anyway, if you're a bike newbie, you should probably buy from a local shop. Most usually throw in a year or two of free maintainence, so that's something to consider.

eeeeeeewwwwwwww!!!!!!!!! Carbon fiber and suspension are the two worst things about mountain bikes.

I am 5'8" and I feel most comfortable on frames that are 14 to 16 inches.
