I have learned an invaluable lesson. EDUCATE YOUR FAMILY ABOUT COMPUTERS! My dad decided to run a gas line for our stove. He left my comptuer uncovered while he was drilling the sheetrock, the wood panels and everything. I come home, CPU is having a siezure. Try a restart... doesn't boot. I look at it... sawdust all over hte inside. I was about to kill/cry. 30 minutes later, whole thing is apart and is being vacuumed. Put it back together.. it is working alright now. lol, we had some construction workers in the other day taking down one of the walls in the server room to enlarge it. The servers were on, we just rigged up some plastic to shield them as much as possible.

I fixed it. Yea, I've had my computer off and covered when I was there. When I left.. arrrg. Have to open my montor and clean that out too. But that is for another time. I am happy it is working now.

Oh come on, pussy. In my comp lab, we're constantly putting holes in the CONCRETE WALLS above computers for mounting various goodies. The Dells don't mind. The user whose computer is being straddled by the shop teacher is usually slightly offended, but gets over it.
