I was looking around and I can't seem to see any difference other than raid. I'm probably gonna get the KG7 without raid from someone on FS ... I was just wondering if it is anything like the Gigabyte GA-7DX and GA-7DXR
The raid version of the gigabyte AMD 761 board was much faster in benchmarks and a better board overall, not just raid.
Thanks.

Yes just RAID (no Highpoint 370 controller). There is also a KG7-Lite which has less DIMM slots (KG7 and KG7-R has four). Great board by the way - mine's been great from day one.

That was my suspicion. Nice to hear from someone who owns one. I do like this board though, and I actually really just love the AMD 761 boards.
Thanks.

Another satisfied user. I love mine! The features and quality of this board are better than any I've ever owned. If you're an overclocker, this board is definitely for you. :)

I think the non-Raid version only has 2 IDE connectors (total of 4 devices)

[I have the KG7-Raid (4 IDE connectors, total of 8 devices)and it Rocks!]
