Budman i think your confused. he means it is finally listed on pricewatch. And most boards do not come DOA from Abit, i have never had a problem with them and have been using them for quite a while.

I have a friend here who bought MSI Kt7-turbo board. Had too many problems. I told him to buy Abit KT7E. No prolems now. Stable at 147.

Abit boards are very high quality, never had a problem. But they need to be treated with respect. They can't be thrown around during shipping(which everything is, I know I worked for UPS), that is why some of them arrive DOA. Abit is a great company with great products.

Hmm isn't that a contradiction ... they are of high quality but you have to be careful with them? The only Abit board I owned was a LX6 and it was not "high quality." It was dead within 3 months (the only mobo to die on me). Replaced it with an AOpen.... still running to this day.

If you get an Abit board, and it works, it will work great. If you get an Abit board and it doesn't work... Well, that's the problem.

But remember, the company that we really need to give a hard time to is Creative.
