KG7-Lite and Athlon 1800+ - compatible?

Ive just bought an XP1800+ JIUHB DLT3C and i want to stick it in my soon to be replaced KG7. Do I need to update my BIOS or will the chip work without a flash? With my Athlon 1400 I could never overclock past 140 FSB and even then it wasnt stable, is that a result of the processor or is the KG7 just a shlt overclocker? 😀:beer:
