I am considering this combination for new system.

Is this combination (the title) fully compatible (since the chipset is much older than CPU),
and when buying the mobo, should I look what BIOS revision it has.

It looks that AMD 760 gives more stability (and little lower performance) compared
to KT266A, and stability is to me more important than a few percent speed advantage.

Also, is the only difference between KG7 and KG7-LITE number of DIMM slots?

Hey, well yes this should work perfecly.. make sure you have at least bios v. 5E that enabled Athlon XP support. Check on to www.abit.com.tw for lastest bios...

and yes the only diff betwen Kg7 and KG7-Lite is that the kg7 has 4 dimm while lite as 2
