"KG called me a cancer pt"

Charlie V is right, it was a douchebag comment by KG. Garnett is an awesome talent but he acts like a crybaby dick all the time.

I guess it worked. That's why you trash talk to get into your opponents head.

It's a competitive sport, do people think they are asking what each other are doing on the weekends while dunking on them?

Woj posted on this:
For years, he’s gone after smaller, younger players. He never goes after tough guys. Never. For some reason, he reveled in going out of his way to abuse European players. So many young Euros grew up idolizing him, loved the range of his versatility at 7 feet, only to have images of him shattered with cheap shots and trash talk on the floor. A few days ago, this happened to the Knicks’ Timofey Mozgov(notes). It happens all the time. Pau Gasol(notes). Jose Calderon(notes). The list is long and the act is tired.

So much is said on the floor, but this hits people in a different way. Cancer victim? Villanueva has a condition called alopecia universalis, which results in hair loss. Villanueva’s always taken the time to meet and talk with kids who share the condition, and has listened to their stories of getting teased with those kinds of cutting words. Garnett is too old for this, too smart.

Nevertheless, it’s stained his legacy. This one promises to chase him into retirement. Beyond that of an MVP and an NBA champion, Garnett has gone to inexplicable lengths to craft a parallel legacy: a vicious bully, a cold and cruel jerk.

There's been some articles that also call KG out on his apparent racism towards Euro players. I know a few people who love KG and don't understand why I dislike him (despite me being a Spurs fan, TD > KG) - this just provides a further example.

This isn't trash talking ... it's one thing to make fun of the guy and rip him for his skill or talent, but to reference him as a cancer patient is stupid. Cancer is a terrible disease, and what you're saying by condoning this statement is that it's OK to make fun of someone with a disease.

He doesn't have cancer so your statement holds no water. Sorry not everyone is nice, life isn't fair, deal with it.

He has alopecia universalis which caused him to lose all his hair. KG was making light of this by calling him a cancer patient.
