I've had plenty of all three brands.
Churches is the best of them but I recommend restaurant chicken if possible.

KFC is so gross I think they should outlaw it.

I don't have a Church's near me and I don't like spicy food. So that leaves KFC. But not their crispy version because it's too peppery.

I had KFC once in 2003. Liked it. Grease galore.

Never been to the other two establishments, and I have all three around here.
The nearest Church's got suddenly shutdown one day, due to health code violations. Took the signage away and everything. Former restaurant is now boarded up, with nothing but the color scheme to tell you what it once was. I think a second location went dark at the same time. Now only two Church's left in town.

That KFC bucket is a LIE!! You get a bucket with the same number of pieces as the commercial and they barely reach the half way mark. They way they make it look, the thing is overflowing with chicken. I have neither a Pop or Churches, but I'm voting for the former regardless as a protest vote against KFC.

Never seen a Churches. I prefer Popeyes, but I like KFC too. They different enough it's worth having both around.

White chicken's good for trapping possum or something. It's barely fit for human consumption.

Old KFC > Popeyes > Current KFC

No one can beat KFC's sides though (mashed potatoes & crackslaw)

Never had Church's.

KFC *used* to be good. Back in the 90s that shit was crack, then i dont know wtf happened, it's like every aspect of the chicken went bad, taste, freshness, crispness.

Never had the privilege of eating churches or popeyes but in the UK they got no-brand chicken shops and some are pretty darn good; there's a guy in east ham of london that makes it with super thick hyper-ultra-mega-sharknado crunchy skin that goes CCRRRRUUUUNNKKkk when you bite it which is the way god intended it to be.

And they' like, half as expensive as kfc is.

Depends on the local franchise I think because the Popeyes where I grew up was once a Pioneer chicken and it was still very good easily out doing KFC there but a Popeyes opened up where I moved and everything has a hint of shrimp in it. Along with that I am obsessed with the Georgia gold crispy breast at KFC, better than anything at Popeye. I have never been to a church's so its not quite a fair comparison.

we used to have Church's here in Ontario that was partnered with Harveys.

I have to say they made great chicken. Way better than KFC.

KFC is overpriced and average. But the buffet is the best value especially if you live near a good store. Popeyes is good but overpriced as well. Church's I avoid because it's usually located in lower income areas. But all three places are just average fast food fried chicken joints and nothing special.

If I'm in mood for fried chicken, I usually pickup the 8 piece mixed box from Publix deli for $8. Not the best fried chicken but it's cheap and good enough.

The posts in this thread are nuts.

KFC has by far the best seasoning. Far above Church's or Popeye's.

Church's has the next best, a bit bland. Popeye's has more flavor but is just 'ok'.

Popeye's has the best sides.

The only thing that KFC has really lost is back in the 1970's they had amazing fries that got removed.
