I highly doubt KFC has ever changed their recipe, other than MAYBE the type of oil they fry in. And thats a big maybe.
Maybe its just NY. I remember the KFC in queens when I was growing up. Then moved to manhattan in '74 and had KFC there. Sometime in the late 80s early 90s KFC just began to suck. I dont recall eating KFC out of state in 20+ years. Maybe I will try it next time im on the road.
It's KFC. They aren't exactly known for the premium quality of their product.
I can appreciate fast food. I just don't get why someone would go to a KFC when there's a Popeye's or Church's nearby.
Have you guys ever had stuffed chicken wings from a Thai place? That's some real deboning, and all by hand. (with hand tools of course)
Breast and thighs taste better with the bone. Think fried or BBQ chicken.
The latest craze is just fucking stupid. Boneless thighs. What is a awesome cheap chicken is now expensive and not as good.
We still get the family pack of bone in thighs. Cheap and good meat.
Ok, to you and others trying to be clever lets get something straight.
A chicken breast has no bones in it, if you would like to argue this point go to google images and type in "chicken breast" and show me these magical bones.
BTW I know exactly what you are talking about and I also prefer them with the ribcage still attached when cooking stews/casseroles etc but this doesn't change the fact that chicken breasts do not have bones.
Chicken breast has bones, the rib cage. It also has skin.
Boneless chicken breast of course do not, as they've had the ribcage and breast bone removed. That's what makes them "boneless" chicken breasts.
Remove the skin and bones and you have "Boneless Skinless chicken breasts".

I suppose it depends in what context you are talking about it, when I talk about a breast of a bird it is the muscle not the ribcage although I can see where the confusion arrises.
Pretty sure it's the lard. Around that time many things fried, including french fries, were cooked in lard but were quickly disappearing to be "healthier" vegetable oil. That's what made them taste so good and it's never been the same for many foods.
I hate that people are so lazy they can no longer have bones in their chicken.
Waiting for "KFC PRE-CHEWED NUGGETS!"
Oh I see, since there are no bones inside the breast meat you think the entire rest of the world is stupid when they say boneless breast.Ok, to you and others trying to be clever lets get something straight.
