keystroke - BOOM (okay, bad title)

Does anyone know of any software that will allow me to bind a certain amount of keystrokes to something.

For example, if I type ":si:" <SPACEBAR> then instead of :si: it will input "Hello, this is an example of what it will put instead."

This is obviously for repetitive tasks in Word, Excel, email, etc.

My G11 lets me bind recorded macros to the macro keys. I recently rediscovered this feature, and found it really useful when I needed to subscript/superscript/bold+underline or type obscure figures (like º and &#181😉. Don't know if that helps, though.
