Heh of course it's attitude or behavior. To get "deactivated" like that without even an attempted trade or whatnot... he musta done something real bad to get tossed. Does he still get paid for sure ? If so, he had to have been a real cancer to the team.

... and you thought TO's attitude was bad for the Niners.

The trade deadline passed a month ago IIRC. The Bus finally got tired of his mouth and attitude. They arent going to release him, atleast not right now, they'll trade him or release him at seasons end. They still have to pay him for this season.

LOL, I remember when he was mocking Marvin Harrison for catching some screen passes on the TB VS Colts game. We all knew how the game went :)
Keyshawn is nothing but a possession receiver nowadays. He's never been a deep threat (no speed) and never been a physical receiver like TO that can break tackles and tacked on YAC.

Bucs To Sit Keyshawn Johnson
By ROY CUMMINGS rcummings@tampatrib.com
Published: Nov 18, 2003

TAMPA - The Bucs apparently have decided to part ways with wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson.

In what appears to be a precursor to a release, the Bucs have told Johnson they intend to deactivate him for the final six regular-season games. The Bucs cannot release Johnson now because they do not have enough money under the salary cap to accept a cap hit a release would provide.

When reached by telephone by the Tribune, Johnson said he could not comment at this time.

The Bucs will make the announcement at 3 p.m. General Manager Rich McKay is expected to address the media to discuss the team's decision.

Johnson has expressed displeasure through most of the season with Coach Jon Gruden's usage of him in the offense.

Last week he was saying privately that he probably had only 11 more weeks with the Bucs. The Bucs apparently have decided that his tenure will be much shorter.

Great...now I don't have to keep chosing between McCardell and Johnson for my lineup!

This is the biggest 'F You! ' that we've seen in awhile. Amazing. Almost as good as the 'F You' Detroit gave Barry Sanders.

Keyshawn is one of those types like Owens who will mouth off when the ship is sinking. Of course, that doesn't help but that's what they do.

TB is a longshot to make the playoffs anyway and basically they are out of it now. At least they won it last year so they have a bit of an excuse.
