I notice Keysplyr has resigned as a video and graphics forum mod.
http://forums.anandtech.com/announcement.php?f=8&a=18

bye bye.

I'm moving this to PFI, there is no need for it to be here in video other than to be further troll fodder.

another mod edit:

I will say this one time and one time only.

If any of you continue to flame Keys in this thread, I will give you time off and this thread will be locked.

edit again:
This thread is locked not for bashing Keys but now for bashing others.

See ya later and welcome to the forums all in one!

I look forward to your contributions now that you will be able to engage in discussions without getting flamed at every turn.

Keys resigns ?

More like lynched by a angry red mob. :)

Good luck man.

Yes, but now you have me and Idontcare, and a few others....

And yes, I would say lynched is what has happened here, and its not a good thing.

Bye keys!

And Hi keys!

This was a smart move, hopefully it will work out for the best for the VC forums.

I never understood why a Focus Group member was allowed to mod the video forums anyways.

Fairness and balance are hard to come by when you're basically paid to promote a specific company.

Are we really going to have this conversation for the umteenth billion time?

If yes, might I suggest you take it to PFI?

Yeah this has been done to death already, i do agree though with modular that it was not a bright idea to begin with but its also over now and the past is the past. Hopefully moving forward it will all turn out for the best with you as the mod.

My post? If so, then yes, we really are. It doesn't make sense. It never did and it never will to have a biased person mod a forum about what they are biased towards. Also, I haven't seen any posts about this before, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to speak my mind.

I like Keys, but the reality still stands that you don't let someone with an overt and obvious bias moderate.

I see it completely the other way around:
I would prefer if people with an overt and obvious bias didn't POST (as in expressing their biased opinions and distorted reality)...
Moderation doesn't have a whole lot to do with your personal opinion on things.
It's much like policemen, lawyers and judges... They don't have to personally agree with the law, they just have to make sure that things go according to what the law prescribes.
Moderators just have to moderate according to the forum rules and culture.

Now if Keys were deleting pro-AMD posts or anti-nVidia posts... yea, maybe you'd have a point... but he's never done that, to my knowledge... and if he did, he'd probably be breaking the moderation rules, and would have been relieved of his moderation duties by the administration anyway.

I think this thread should be moved to Personal Forum Issues if it's discussion is to be continued, as Idontcare has mentioned. I'll be glad to discuss things in there.

Well considering you used to be a moderator on this forum and many of the regular users have yet to view it,it is entirely appropriate for this thread to be in this forum.
Also I haven't seen any posts asking you to discuss it.
