I just got a Xenix Illuminated keyboard since I game in the dark alot but after almost a week my typing in all instances is suffering.
The key positions are so different from my last cheese-o memorex keyboard that my typing is all screwed up (I'm taking my time typing this.)
I hit enter when I should hit backspace, I hit slash when I should hit home etc. and I'm really getting frustrated. Plus this new keyboard is totally flat to my
keyboard drawer, which puts my hands in a new position. I want to change keyboards, and preferably a clunker like an IBM model M since I 'm a major touch typer.
I have seen them at clickykeyboard.com and at pckeyboard.com but they cost too much for me right now. Does anyone know of a place that isn't so expensive? Although
I don't expect to find as sexy a keyboard as the jet black pointing stick model from pckeyboards.

Also, what a bout the A-shape keyboards? Do those have the heavy spring keys? Thanks to all in advance.

i thought those weren't fully compatible with the newer systems anymore? i LOVE those old ibm keyboards, probably the best built keyboards ever. i think i might have an old AT style around here (work) i could probably clean it up and try it out on my system at home, but i personally can't stand the flat keyboards anymore after having the split/angled keyboard at home....

but would love to see somebody build one of those old ones in the new style. i'd get it in a heartbeat.

not that that's of any help to you i suppose, sorry.
