keyboards? (music)

Hi All,

My g/f's thinking that she'd like to get a keyboard so she can learn how to play "Van Halen and sh*t". Neither of us knows how to play any musical instrument, but I've always wanted to learn how to play the piano. I was just wondering if anyone here has a keyboard, has used one, or otherwise has any recommendations as to what to look for in one. Price isn't really an object, but I'd sort of like to keep the total cost down around $1500.

Anyone had good luck with any particular brand? If so, what did you like about it?

think yamaha is good, they make bikes too

Another vote for yamaha.... they make some of the best keyboards out there.... they have plenty of great models to chose from in your range.....

Roland also has some great sounding keyboards
