Keyboard woes

Don't know where it's coming from but I have 2 Keyboards with the same symptoms. They will activate a key when it's not being compressed. It only happens while gaming: well i never use the machine other than to game but say i'll be moving forward with the 'W' key the Tab key will activate causing the in-game menu to popup.. or a weapon bounded key will activate.

This has to be something other than the keyboards. The both displayed this by the two different input methods: USB & Legacy PS/2 port. The PC is mildly overclocked @ 3.7Ghz ...

help?

2 keyboards with the same symptoms, but are the two keyboards the same?

It sounds like key ghosting problems.

The first keyboard had it bad. The RMA was a little tamer. I bought a new one while the RMA is being RMA'd. This one I just bought/got in today is having the same problem. It only happened once so far but that seems to be a pretty good guess.

The first is a Steelseries 6Gv2, the RMA brand new replacement was a 7G

The one I just got in is a Corsair K60

Likely a keyboard ghost. What keys get "pressed" varies from keyboard to keyboard.

USB tends to be worse (combo of how USB works + cheap tech) while PS/2 can be better but not always so. Related is keyboard blocking. IE I have one keyboard where I I hold "A S" to back away to the right, Q won't work which happens enough when I try to move in to a straph.
