I have an Athlon 64 3400+ and a gigabyte motherboard K85760M that was moved into a new mini-tower casing. Everything is hooked up properly so far as I can tell (connection and wire-wise) but the keyboard will not work in Windows XP Pro at all. (The motherboard was not sparked or broken in anyway so I don't think it is a hardware issue). The USB ports work because the keyboard is backlit and lights up and if I plug the mouse into the ports the mouse works. But the keys are not recognized at all in Windows.
I have formatted and reinstalled Win XP but nothing was fixed. I am wondering if something happened in the cmos or bios but I am not technically skilled enough to try and figure out what it may be. The keyboard works when I try to make changes to the bios but does absolutely nothing when Windows boots.
Any ideas or suggestions are most appreciated.
Thank you very much,
Michael
