Not much to say, but I need to buy a keyboard without letters to help a relative to learn to type quickly. I tried googling, but besides das keyboard with mechanical switches nothing came up, short of putting black piece of tape on the keys to mask the letters, can I buy a keyboard that doesn't have any letters on it? Numbers and special symbols are fine.

There are such things available. Here is one:

Look at the overlays section - BTW, that's the term commonly used. Key overlays.

An easy cheap and quick solution would be to use regular mailing labels and some scissors.

The das keyboard is the only one I know of that's completely blank. I have the model that has printed keys and it's quite the wonderful keyboard :) Das offers an educational discount that knocks the cost down to about $100/shipped if you or your relative is in school or college

You can find laser engraved KBC keys from China. Almost blank. Nice compromise.
