Looking for a secondary keyboard and thought it would be great if the number keypad was on the left because I use the mouse with my right. My second desk isnt large enough to move the keyboard over and its looking like I might just get a wireless keyboard and so I can just move it and put a nostromo speed pad instead.

Any thoughts or creative ideas I might have overlooked?

I thought there was some company that made two-piece keyboards (Belkin, maybe?), where the numpad was separate. But didn't you learn to use the numbers with your right hand? You'd have to relearn to type fast again.

http://www.a4tech.com makes some keyboards with the keypad on the left - specifically to bring the mouse closer to the home row keys. The Egg used to carry one model, but I haven't seen it there in a while. And they have a corded one, but apparently they don't import them. It took me a while to find some with froogle - I think I had to play around with the model numbers to get them to come up. Some of the Kensingtons are made by A4tech too.

Unfortunately its expensive, and has very laggy bluetooth technology that has far been exceeded by RF technology. Believe me, I OWN a set of the Dinovos. They suck the big one.

Logitech has a USB version of the diNovo, which can be found for around 100 after rebates. I own the BT one. I'm curious what exactly you don't like about them? from time to time I have to rediscover the mouse after I've gone a few days without using it. And the mouse takes 5 seconds to respond after it's gone idle for awhile. But overall, I LOVE it. The detachable key pad was a huge plus too. my desk's keyboard tray is too small to fit a regular sized KB + any mouse pad that's not microsopic. I have my diNovo + Razer eXactmat in my tray and I love it. Only beef with the diNovo is the keypad's LCD isn't backlit.
