Keyboard stopped working after install of new video card?

Hi folks

upgraded from my 7800GTX to 7900GTX video card.

once i brought the system back up, my USB keyboard no longer works!

Plugged the keyboard into two other PC's-fine. I reversed the mouse and keyboard on my motherboard. Problem followed the keyboard so it's not my USB port.

there are only two hard straps on my motherboard and I made sure I did not touch either one of them accidentally.

System boots fine all the way to windows, I just can't use the keyboard.

Any ideas how this could happen?

Please ignore, I found the issue.

when I direct plugged my keyboard into the PC to troubleshoot, I didn't remove the cable from the KVM switch that was running into the PC. Once I did, the keyboard works fine.

I have a bad port on my KVM apparently throwing out garbage to the PC confusing the keyboard.
