Keyboard spasms?

For the past month or two, I have had a sort of spasm on my computer when ever I type something. I would be typing a sentence, and all of a sudden it would rapidly input ~10 more of the last key I pressed, so I might get something like "pleaaaaaaaaaaaa" while I am typing "please."
This was annoying, but I ignored it. Today, I am getting something new. The start menu for my XP PRO system keep popping up, just as it would if I were to hit the windows key.

What can I do? THANKS!

Could be a stuck windows key with that last issue you stated. I usually hit ESC and it stops.

You can turn sticky keys on and that should stop the problem with the keys going crazy on you.

Well I know that the physical state of the keys are fine. No stickies.

Scratch the sticky keys thing. Just forget I even put it there. I might even edit that out...

There isn't too much you can do with a faulty keyboard. Have you tried another one to make sure you know exactly where the problem lies?

When things like this happen I use it as an excuse to buy a new backlit blue LED keyboard. That's just me though.
