Keyboard randomly repeating characters

Hi All,

I was curious if anyone has experienced a keyboard repeating the first character typed after coming out of S3 sleep mode? It doesn't matter what I'm doing, I can open the "start" button and click in the "search" or "run" fields and it just goes nuts repeating. The same thing in Chrome or IE.

I've got a Logitech G5 mouse with SetPoint drivers and a Microsoft Comfort Curve 2000 with Intellitype drivers installed. This combination was working fine on my old computer under Win7 64bit, but not on my new one.

I've re-installed all of the drivers including the mainboard usb drivers. I've also made sure I'm using the USB2.0 ports and not USB3. I do have two logins, one for me and one for my wife, and it seems to be a problem coming out of sleep at the login screen, but sometimes when I've left myself logged in.

The new system has a Biostar TZ68A+ mainboard, but I'm not sure if that is the problem. Any suggestions on next steps? I don't have another keyboard/mouse to test with, and it doesn't seem to be consistently reproducible. Would moving back to S1 likely impact this?

Thanks

I've actually had success remedying that but using another USB port. A few weeks ago I had a Microsoft USB keyboard on Win7 Enterprise and did the whole driver gig which didn't work and then tried switching USB ports which ended up working.

Well, I tried the other ports and I think it's actually worse. I guess I'll try contacting Biostar to see if they know of driver issues. It doesn't make any sense to me still, a keyboard isn't exactly rock science.
