Keyboard problems

This is a strange one. On my computers with windows 2000pro, xp pro and xp home, I cant get the number pad keys to work. The regular number keys work fine. It's not the keyboard because the keys work with 98 and Me with the same computers. Any suggestions!!!!!

All NT based OS's have a problem with leaving the numlock key on.

1st check you BIOS and enable NumLock if it's there

2nd make sure you are leaving it on on the keyboard

3rd follow this guide Regisrty change for NumLock

On that 3rd choice remember you can hose the entire system if not done exactly per the instructions and still might. However I have done it to 8 machines in the past year without a problem. Matter a fact it was the 1st thing I did after I installed Win2000 for the 1st time.

Do a Google search on enabling NumLock and there are several sites out there that you can find more info on this and other "adjustments"

😉
