Keyboard multiple keys problem.

My microsoft ps2 keyboard seems to have stopped working properly. I have a intel DH67cl MB with no ps2 slot. So I used a converter to make it run but now I am facing a problem. I cannot press multiple keys together. For ex: w+a cannot be pressed together in a racing game. It will either turn or accelerate but not both together.

Is there a way to solve this?

Hm, seems the PS/2>USB adapter either doesn't work properly or the keyboard is to blame. There are two types of adapters: let's call them 'active' and 'passive'. Passive ones merely convert the pinout and rely on a keyboard being USB native while 'active' ones do a full translation job (i.e. signal, timing etc.).

A cheap USB keyboard may cure the problem but for true n-key rollover PS/2 is betterbut either should be able to handle two keys at a time: the USB limit is 6 keys + 4 mods. Have a look at this:

And yes, looks like somebody messed up when the USB keyboard spec was designed that's why 'old tech' like PS/2 ports are handy to have.
