keyboard mouse switch thingy

I need to buy one of those switch box things that lets you use 1 keyboard and 1 mouse for 2 computers. A KVM switch without the V (I already have 2 monitors). Are there any disadvantages to using one? Noticable slower performance, etc?

I use one made by Linksys. You don't have to use the video part of it. I don't notice any performance degredation at all. Just make sure you buy one of decent quality.

you can buy a dlink 2 port for $45 at newegg. it is a kvm tho, never heard of a km switch.

If it's just for keyboard and mouse, just get the cheap generic one at newegg for $14. It's not pretty, but it'll get the job done🙂
